Make A Splash Hydrating Skin Savers: Tarte Skincare Review

I can't explain how excited I was to get my hands on this cute trio! Aside from the gorgeous packaging, all three have a really nice tropical/citrus scent to them. The three mini's are from the newly released Rainforest of the Sea collection, which I had been dying to try. Alone, the products are priced starting at $25 a piece but in this little trio the whole package was priced at $10 - it's seriously too good to be true!

Before jumping right in and investing in the full collection, I thought this would be the perfect trial run. Initially when this line came out I was worried I wouldn't be able to use it, simply because over the course of a day my skin gets pretty oily. The products are structured around being super hydrating, moisturizing, and radiant so I was hesitant of how heavy it might be on my skin and if my face would look extra shiny.

So far though, I couldn't have been more wrong in my thinking! The products are

AH-MAZING and have left my skin crystal clear. Generally, I use Cetaphil to wash my face and remove my makeup. Whenever I try something new, that's what I compare it to since it has worked so well for me. The Tarte Deep Dive Cleansing Gel definitely passed the test! It took off my stubborn makeup -- mascara and all -- and was soft and gentle in the process.

Side note: Cetaphil does a pretty dang good job and remains a favorite of mine.

After patting my face dry, I use the Tarte Marine Boosting 4-in-1 mist. This product can be used as a primer, makeup setting spray, hydrating mist and skin refresher. For the first time, I used it as a multi-purpose hydrating mist and skin refresher. After washing my face my skin gets really red and flushed (my skin is SO sensitive). Using a skin spritzer or mist works well for me, and feels super refreshing after taking day-worn makeup off. I've also used the spray as a primer, first thing in the morning before putting on my makeup and have loved the results.

The last product in the trio is the Tarte Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost. It's a light weight gel moisturizer that's actually meant to help give life to dry, dehydrated skin. If you're a routine coffee drinker like myself, you'll love this! I find myself always getting paranoid that I'm dehydrating my skin with the amount of coffee I drink, but this little drink of H2O will assure that's not a problem. I mostly use this product at night before bed, and wake up with bright, moisturized skin the next morning. A little definitely goes a long way as well! I just put a little dot on both cheeks, my forehead and chin, rub it in and it covers my whole face. It's safe to say ladies, I will be purchasing full sizes once my mini's from this Sephora find run out!!
